On being an introvert and a writer

Author Adam McHugh kindly invited me to contribute a guest post to his website today. My post, a reflection on being an introvert and a writer, is part of Adam’s “Introvert Saturday” series, which features posts by introverts from all areas of life.

I encourage you to check out the posts from the rest of the contributors. I also highly recommend Adam’s book Introverts in the Church: Finding our Place in an Extroverted Culture for those seeking to understand how introverts can live and minister in ways consistent with their personalities.

(Wow, I sure used the word “introvert” a whole lot right there. But no real way around that…)

And thanks again, Adam, for letting me take part in your blog in this way.

I'm a writer and editor living in the lovely city of Hamilton, Ontario. By day, I write for World Renew, a relief and development agency; during evenings and weekends, I let short stories, essays, and other pieces out to play. I like to write about the intersection of faith, art, culture, and justice.
